1. Power cycle the Orbi satellite and router
If your Orbi device is not able to complete the boot process even after several minutes and flashing white then consider power cycling. You should power cycle the devices one-by-one. Unplug the router and the satellite from the power slot. Once done, plug it back to the power outlets. Turn it on and check if the problem is resolved.
2. Try a different power outlet
If the orbi blinking white light issue continues then you should change its power slot. Perhaps your Orbi router and satellite might not be getting a sufficient power supply. If your orbi router is taking too long to boot up, then the issue of white light occurs. In such a case, plug your orbi router, modem, and satellite into a different power slot. Also, check the cables connected to the devices. If the cables are damaged and your devices are not getting a proper signal, then you can’t resolve the issue.
3. Reboot your router and set it on Access point Mode

Follow the steps described below to set up your Orbi router as an access point:
- You should use an Ethernet cable to connect the Internet port of your Netgear Orbi router to the LAN port of your existing modem/router or the gateway.

- You have to enter the web address orbilogin.com and an Orbi login window opens.
- In the next level, enter the admin username and password of your Orbi router.

- Enter the password which you have specified the first time you logged in. The username and password should be properly typed in small letters. It is case sensitive.
- Now, you should select the ADVANCED Tab > then Advanced Setup tab> and then the option Router/AP Mode.
- You can select any option in between the Router and the Access Point Mode for your Orbi router.
- Select the Access Point Mode as the radio button and click on the Apply button.

Orbi blinking white light issues arise due to errors in firmware updates. Sometimes you download a corrupted firmware by mistake. And that is why you need to update the firmware once again. Go to the orbi login official site and search for your model number. If you found the exact firmware file, download it. After downloading the firmware, unzip the downloaded file and save it to a secured location. After that follow the process as described below: –
- On your computer, launch a web browser and once connected open orbilogin.com or head over to 192.168.0.1
- Enter your Netgear Orbi default credentials or the configured information which is changed earlier.
- Hit the login tab and visit the home page or the dashboard page of your Orbi router.
- Click the options manual update and the Orbi firmware update window will appear.
- Upload the downloaded firmware file for your Netgear Orbi satellite by tapping the upload button.
